Scholarship Testing Preparation

The Scholarship Testing Preparation Course is directed towards Year 5 and 6 students who wish to obtain full or partial scholarships at private schools like Westbourne Grammar School, Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School, Wesley College, Melbourne Grammar School and Melbourne Girls' Grammar School. The course focuses heavily on the creative writing and problem solving components of the test. Although each school has their own test format, we aim to provide a general overview of all components of all tests. This will allow all students to be universally prepared for all scholarship tests given to them.

Overview of classes, students will:

• Develop a solid understanding of all key components in all scholarship tests

• Gain a general idea of the format of all scholarship tests

• Understand the concepts behind solving mathematical problems

• Develop better reading, writing and spelling skills

• Be able to work under time limits with accuracy

Selective School Testing Preparation

The Selective School Testing Preparation Course is directed towards Year 7 and 8 students who wish to gain entry into selective schools such as Melbourne High School and MacRobertson Girls' High School. Our tutors have tutored students who gained entry into and attended these schools. 

Overview of classes:  

• Revision on all key concepts covered in Years 8, 9 and 10

• Development in comprehension and language analysis skills for English

• Development in verbal reasoning and problem solving skills

• Techniques for writing essays within the allocated time

• Strategies for answering multiple-choice questions with speed and accuracy.
